Technical Design Manager (EV Infrastructure)

Neertec Uk looking for: Senior Electrical Engineer / Technical Lead – EV Infrastructure

Location: Hybrid / Flexible (UK)

Reporting Line: Operations Director

Role Purpose:

To act as the technical lead and design authority for EV charging infrastructure projects in the UK, supporting commercial growth while building the foundations of Neertec UK’s future engineering function.

Key Responsibilities:

Design of high-power DC EV charging solutions (EV hubs, fleet depots, HGV charging)

Production and approval of electrical designs (SLDs, layouts, calculations, specifications)

Technical leadership of DNO / IDNO / ICP interactions, including G99 applications

Technical support to sales, tenders, and early client engagement

Development of technical standards, processes, and QA

Leading the journey toward NERS accreditation

Recruiting and building the electrical design team as the business scales.

Essential Requirements:

Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

Strong UK electrical design experience (HV/LV, energy or infrastructure)

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Amtech / Trimble ProDesign

Experience supporting commercial teams and client-facing discussions

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Experience:

Hands-on experience working with DNOs, IDNOs, or ICPs

Experience with EV fast charging or high-power installations

Previous involvement in NERS accreditation

Experience in start-up or scale-up environments
