Petrotec Group surpasses £38 million in UK turnover with strategic acquisition of Premier Forecourts & Construction

The strategic acquisition of Premier expands Petroassist UK’s turnkey project capabilities and accelerates the rollout of electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across the UK market.
The Portuguese group, a European leader in energy mobility solutions, strengthens its operations in the United Kingdom, where it now employs more than 200 people.
Guimarães, 1 June 2026 – The Petrotec Group, a wholly
Portuguese-owned multinational and European leader in the development of
integrated solutions for energy refuelling and charging, today announces the
full acquisition of the British company Premier Forecourts & Construction.
The investment, completed through Petroassist UK – the group’s subsidiary specialising in engineering, support and maintenance services in the United Kingdom – represents a fundamental strategic step in consolidating the Portuguese multinational’s industrial and service footprint in one of the most demanding and highly regulated markets in Europe.
With this integration, the Petrotec Group’s consolidated UK operation is projected to reach an annual turnover of £38 million (approximately €45 million) and a workforce of more than 200 specialist employees.
A one-stop-shop offering with a focus on the energy transition
To date, Petroassist UK’s activity has focused predominantly on multi-brand installation, technical support and maintenance for major service-station and food-retail networks – serving leading clients such as Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s, MFG, BP and Vinci.
The incorporation of Premier Forecourts & Construction adds critical, wide-ranging civil engineering, electrical installation (pipe-fitting and electrical works) and end-to-end project management (turnkey delivery) capabilities to the group’s portfolio. This complementarity enables the Portuguese company to take on larger and more complex contracts, act as a single integrated supplier (one-stop shop) and drive cross-selling across its extensive UK client base.
The acquisition is also of crucial importance from a sustainability perspective, accelerating the group’s capacity to deliver projects linked to electric mobility and EV (electric vehicle) infrastructure, and creating direct synergies with other brands within the Petrotec Group, such as Hellonext (which specialises in the development and manufacture of equipment and solutions for the energy transition, with a primary focus on electric mobility and green hydrogen systems) and Neertec (integrated sustainable energy projects).
Projected consolidated annual growth of more than 10%
For the next two to three years, the Petrotec Group’s targets for the UK market point to consolidated annual growth of more than 10%, underpinned by the expansion of its specialist services offering and a strong acceleration in projects linked to the energy transition.

Nuno Cabral, CEO of the Petrotec Group, comments:
“With this acquisition, the Petrotec Group takes another important step in its strategy of international expansion and consolidation, completing the full purchase of the British company Premier Forecourts & Construction through its subsidiary Petroassist UK. For more than 40 years, the multinational has successfully projected its engineering, technology and industrial capability on a global scale. This operation in the United Kingdom – one of the most demanding, regulated and competitive markets in Europe – is proof that the company continues to strengthen its position as one of the global benchmarks in integrated solutions for energy refuelling and charging.”
Bruno Teixeira, Managing Director of Petroassist UK, highlights the significance of this integration:
“This acquisition represents another important milestone in the Petrotec Group’s long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in the UK market and expand our platform of mobility support services. By bringing together the experience, local knowledge and strong client relationships of Petroassist UK and Premier Forecourts & Construction, combined with Petrotec’s technology and capacity for innovation, we are creating a far more robust and integrated value proposition.
This partnership also broadens our capabilities across both traditional fuel-retail infrastructure and electric charging solutions, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the ongoing transformation of the mobility and energy sectors in the United Kingdom. More than expanding our geographical presence, we are strengthening our ability to deliver greater value, local support and future-ready solutions to energy retailers across the country.”
Premier Forecourts & Construction will retain its operational identity, working in close collaboration with the Petroassist UK structure to ensure a seamless integration and the continuity of the high standards of service provided to all partners and clients.
